Almond Rice Porridge

Ingredients

½C

short grain rice

3Tbsp

Spiral Organic Rice Syrup

pinch

salt

4C

Bonsoy Almond Milk

¼

dried sultanas

¼ tsp

cardamom powder (optional)

For garnish

½

banana, sliced (or peach, apricot, apple, nectarine)

almonds, chopped

desiccated coconut

cinnamon powder

Method

Wash and rinse the rice under running water until the water runs clear, then drain.

In a large saucepan, combine the rice, the rice syrup, salt, and 1 cup of almond milk. Cook on low heat, stirring for 5 minutes until the almond milk has been absorbed.

Gradually add the rest of almond milk, half a cup at a time, stirring and cooking until the texture turns thick and creamy. Leave to cool.

Serve with garnish and enjoy!
